PrintSCP-2P is a DICOM Print Server; it can receive images from DICOM modalities and print them in a Windows paper printer. Is a low cost DICOM printing solution, and depending on the printer used it can render photographic quality images on paper.

PrintSCP-2P makes it possible to connect the PC to a network DICOM and to redistribute the requests for impression coming from the medical equipment. It acts as "a translator" between world DICOM and the world of the Windows printers, by forwarding with these printers of requests for impression coming from the device medical suitably converted, calibrated and optimized.

1  the current situation

Many systems of acquisition works only locally, it does not have there a division in network, thus the systems of imagery are mainly limited to acquisition and posting image on the PC. Also, the experts Ophtalmologists to refine their diagnostic, count more and more on the new systems of imagery (OCT., HRA, HRT, GDX, etc).
